Find the root cause
A deep dive into movement, strength, mobility, and the demands of your sport. We pinpoint exactly what is causing the pain. And why it keeps coming back.
Foot and Ankle Pain
We restore foot and ankle strength, mobility, and confidence so you can run farther, hike higher, and train without every step being a question. Real gym. Hands-on.
We get it
Your feet and ankles are your connection to the ground. Every stride, squat, step-up, and landing depends on them working well. When pain shows up, everything gets harder. We help active adults restore strength and mobility in the feet and ankles so the adventures you love stay on the calendar.
Diagnosis
You might notice pain when running longer distances, hiking steep or technical terrain, squatting, lunging, or jumping, taking those first steps in the morning, or standing too long at work. If every step feels stiff, painful, or unstable, you are losing power and confidence where it matters most.
Where it hurts is not always where it started.
Most foot and ankle pain comes from weak foot and arch stabilizers, hip mobility restrictions that alter ground contact, limited ankle dorsiflexion that changes mechanics upstream, and overstriding or poor force absorption during running.
Foot posture changes under fatigue and volume jumps without adequate strength capacity are also common contributors. We assess the whole lower chain.
Here is what we look for.
Most people get orthotics, new shoes, or are told to rest. For active people, a new insole is not a diagnosis. It is a workaround.
We find the root cause.
Who we help
We help Fort Collins runners, hikers, lifters, and active adults who need their feet and ankles to perform every day.
If any of this sounds familiar.
Whether you are logging trail miles, front-squatting heavy, or just trying to get through a long day on your feet. We build the stability and strength to keep you moving without taping and bracing everything.
You stay in your sport.
What we treat
Should I see a PT?
When you are dealing with foot or ankle pain, you might wonder if new shoes, orthotics, or rest will be enough. Sometimes they help. Often they do not address what is actually driving the problem.
PT is the most effective first step when:
Foot and ankle pain is shaped by how the foot works with the knee, hip, and overall movement mechanics, as well as strength, mobility, and load tolerance. By addressing these factors early, most people avoid unnecessary imaging and surgery. They return to running, hiking, and training with less pain and more confidence.

The Upslope Method
01
A deep dive into movement, strength, mobility, and the demands of your sport. We pinpoint exactly what is causing the pain. And why it keeps coming back.
02
Hands-on therapy, targeted mobility, graded loading. You feel relief in the first sessions, not the eighth. And you understand what changed.
03
Movement quality is restored. Now we build the foundation that keeps it. Real strength work in the gym to restore your tolerance to load.
04
Coached back through your sport-specific demands until you train with confidence again.
Patient story
“It took months before I could walk consistently without fear of it locking up again. There was a clear moment where I knew I was on the road to recovery — and now it's unaffected.”

Questions
No. Direct access in Colorado means you can come straight to us. No doctor visit first.
Most people see major improvement in 8 to 12 weeks. Chronic instability or post-surgical cases may take longer. We will know after the first session.
We train feet and ankles under real load. Single-leg work, plyometrics, running mechanics. Not just towel scrunches and band walks. That is how the lower chain actually gets durable.
