Lifting Injuries

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, you are in the right place!

Many people suffer unnecessarily with lifting pain because they’re told…
The Truth Is...

At UpSlope Physical Therapy & Performance, We Help Lifter get back on the course.

It can be very confusing to decide exactly what you should do if you have pain with lifting. You’ve likely heard a lot of options such as…

Deciding what to do next can be scary and exhausting with all the different options available, but inaction is even worse.

Analysis paralysis is a real phenomenon that prevents people from moving forward. If you’re feeling stuck, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

When It Comes To Solving Something Serious Like a Lifting Injury…

You must select the appropriate healthcare provider for you. If you don’t, you may end up with dangerous surgery (when it wasn’t required) or be addicted to painkillers for the rest of your life.

Getting the “least-invasive”, “most natural” therapy is CRITICAL in preventing your pain from returning.

In order to achieve this, you must find a provider who is willing not only to treat the pain, but also discover its root cause. Once the source of the issue is remedied, your problems will be solved permanently.

At UpSlope PT & Performance we’ve created a 3 step process to get rid of your pain AND make sure it doesn’t come back again.

Step #1 - We Want To Listen To Your Story

The healthcare system is quite inconvenient. You wait weeks, if not months, for an appointment only to be ushered into a room before the doctors have to dash off to the next patient, leaving you sitting there wondering what exactly occurred.

Most physical therapy clinics unfortunately operate in a way that is not conducive to healing. They are usually overbooked and rushed, meaning your therapist likely doesn’t have the time to actually focus on where you’re hurting.

This is why our first step is to listen to your story.

Working with various people suffering from lifting pain, we have observed that everyone is unique. Each person’s body, history and type of pain differs from the next.

That is why our first step is to have an open discussion and give you the opportunity to tell your story. We can then acquire a thorough understanding of what’s going on, not just in your body, but also how it’s impacting your life.

Step #2 - Find Out WHY The Pain With Lifting Started

If you’ve ever looked up your symptoms online or been to the doctor for an ailment, you may have left with a medical term or diagnosis. This can be overwhelming, especially if you’re told that resting, taking painkillers, or surgery are your only options.

Those things don’t always provide immediate relief, but they aren’t addressing the issue that prompted it in the first place. Every person’s cause of lifting discomfort is different. There is no one who has the same problem caused by the same thing as another person.

We strive to identify the unique source of your pain so that not only does your discomfort go away, but it STAYS AWAY! We realize that you might still be doubtful or unsure whether physical therapy is appropriate for you. That’s why we designed our Discovery Visit.

Our Discovery Visits are meant specifically for those people who are skeptical, unsure, or have even been let down in the past. During the Discovery Visit you’ll find out what’s wrong, how long it’s going to take to fix it, and give you peace of mind that your problem can be fixed naturally!

Step #3 - Get Rid Of The Pain & Keep It From Coming Back

This is when the big transformation occurs. We develop a personalized plan that allows you to…

…Lift with peace of mind, knowing the pain won’t come back.
…Be able to get back to your favorite exercises.
…Restart your pre-injury lifting program.

Our best clients are those who are motivated and ready to win back their active lifestyle. (Even if they feel stuck right now!)

Want to know more about our availability and costs before making any commitment to coming in?

You dont have to sacrifice the runs you love over problems that can be fixed.

Sincerely,
Dr. Brady Hoffmann PT, DPT, ATC, XPS, Cert. DN

Brady at Upslope has been a life saver. I’ve been to multiple doctors, therapists and specialists over the last few years. Nobody has helped me as much as Brady. For the first time in years, I’m pain free and back to normal activities.

I came in to Upslope with a chronically painful shoulder that was affecting my workouts, sleep, and family time. Brady took time to really understand my injury and build a plan to recover. I am now back to working out the way I want to and wrestling toddlers!

I had hip replacement in 2018 and while active and doing yoga everyday, the strength in my right hip/leg was not where it should be. Has result, I was suffering from constant hip/knee pain due to the lack of muscle strength in my glutes and quads. My hip doctor recommended that I go to a different Physical Therapist. I discovered Brady at UpSlope and am thankful that I did. I am 74, an avid elk/deer backpack hunter, and always very active. During my first session with Brady, I explained my condition and soon found he was different than other PTs I had in the past. He listened and very quickly changed how I was looking at my workouts. During my ten sessions with him, he put me thru routines that have now strengthened the muscles in my hip and knee to the point that I no longer have pain in either. I have applied his different exercises into my daily workouts and have found that my confidence in my continued ability to hunt and pack out has increased threefold! I trust and respect Brady for his caring and his abilities to analyze my situation and put together a training plan for me that works! Thanks Brady,

I worked 6 plus sessions with Dr. Brady after dealing with imbalances from old injuries for years. Dr. Brady was extremely helpful and has me feeling more pain free and balanced than ever. I went in initially to work on a clicking shoulder, but Dr. Brady helped me look at my hips, knees, feet, and any other area that seemed off to me. I have tried physical therapy twice before, and while it was great, it somehow seemed that Dr. Brady was able to address more underlying roots of my problems. I highly recommend up-slope physical therapy and specifically Dr. Brady.

Brady is really knows how to look at the body as a whole, not just where I was feeling the pain. He really helped with my knee pain, but also showed me some great exercises to help strengthen my core to help with more stability-from my lower back to my feet.
