Runner Injuries

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, you are in the right place!

Many people suffer unnecessarily with running pain because they’re told…

At UpSlope Physical Therapy & Performance, We Help Runners get back on the course.

If you experience pain while running, it can be tricky to decide on the best course of action. People usually offer a lot of options, including…

Having too many choices can be daunting, and it’s hard to know if you’re making the right decision.

Most individuals struggle to come up with a plan for what they should do next. They go days, weeks, months (sometimes even years!) without doing anything at all.

When It Comes To Solving Something Serious Like a Running Injury…

Picking the right health care provider is crucial; if you don’t, you might get unnecessary surgery or end up hooked on painkillers.

Investing in the “least-invasive” and most natural treatment is key to preventing your pain from returning.

To be able to do that, you must not only treat the pain but also find a doctor who is interested in determining why the discomfort occurred in the first place. That’s when you’ll get a solution that will last.

At UpSlope PT & Performance we’ve created a 3 step process to get rid of your pain AND make sure it doesn’t come back again.

Step #1 - We Want To Listen To Your Story

It’s beyond frustrating when you have to wait weeks or even months for a 10-minute appointment with a doctor who rushes off to their next patient as soon as they’re done with you. You’re left feeling confused and wondering what just happened.

Even most physical therapy clinics, for example, are like this. They’re unresponsive, hurried, and your therapist doesn’t have the time to actually massage where you’re hurting.

This is why our first step is to listen to your story.

We’ve had a lot of experience working with many people who have running pain. We understand that no two individuals are alike. Every individual has a unique body, past, and distinct kinds of discomfort.

That is why our first step is to have an open conversation during which you may share your experience. We obtain a thorough knowledge of what’s going on not just with your body but also how it’s affecting your life by doing so.

Step #2 - Find Out WHY The Pain With Running Started

Many people have been given a medical diagnosis for what is causing their symptoms. Perhaps their doctor informed them of it, or perhaps tests revealed the diagnosis, or maybe you discovered it on the internet.

You could have been advised that the only alternative was to rest, take painkillers, or consider surgery.

Sometimes, they provide brief alleviation, but they don’t address the root cause of the problem.

We all have different reasons for our running pains. No two people share the same problem, caused by the exact same thing.

At UpSlope PT & Performance, we want to discover the root of your pain so that it disappears for good.

We understand that you still might be skeptical or unsure if physical therapy is right for you. That’s why we created our Discovery Visit.

Our Discovery Visits are meant specifically for those people who are skeptical, unsure, or have even been let down in the past. During the Discovery Visit you’ll find out what’s wrong, how long it’s going to take to fix it, and give you peace of mind that your problem can be fixed naturally!

STEP #3 - GET RID OF THE PAIN & KEEP IT FROM COMING BACK

This is when the magic happens. We create a unique strategy to help you…

…Get back to running without fear of the pain coming back.
…Be able to get back to your favorite courses
…Get back to your pre-injury running

Our best clients are those who are motivated and ready to win back their active lifestyle. (Even if they feel stuck right now!)

Schedule a free initial consultation to learn more about what we can do for you!

You dont have to sacrifice the runs you love over problems that can be fixed.

Sincerely,

Brady at Upslope has been a life saver. I’ve been to multiple doctors, therapists and specialists over the last few years. Nobody has helped me as much as Brady. For the first time in years, I’m pain free and back to normal activities.

I came in to Upslope with a chronically painful shoulder that was affecting my workouts, sleep, and family time. Brady took time to really understand my injury and build a plan to recover. I am now back to working out the way I want to and wrestling toddlers!

I had hip replacement in 2018 and while active and doing yoga everyday, the strength in my right hip/leg was not where it should be. Has result, I was suffering from constant hip/knee pain due to the lack of muscle strength in my glutes and quads. My hip doctor recommended that I go to a different Physical Therapist. I discovered Brady at UpSlope and am thankful that I did. I am 74, an avid elk/deer backpack hunter, and always very active. During my first session with Brady, I explained my condition and soon found he was different than other PTs I had in the past. He listened and very quickly changed how I was looking at my workouts. During my ten sessions with him, he put me thru routines that have now strengthened the muscles in my hip and knee to the point that I no longer have pain in either. I have applied his different exercises into my daily workouts and have found that my confidence in my continued ability to hunt and pack out has increased threefold! I trust and respect Brady for his caring and his abilities to analyze my situation and put together a training plan for me that works! Thanks Brady,

I worked 6 plus sessions with Dr. Brady after dealing with imbalances from old injuries for years. Dr. Brady was extremely helpful and has me feeling more pain free and balanced than ever. I went in initially to work on a clicking shoulder, but Dr. Brady helped me look at my hips, knees, feet, and any other area that seemed off to me. I have tried physical therapy twice before, and while it was great, it somehow seemed that Dr. Brady was able to address more underlying roots of my problems. I highly recommend up-slope physical therapy and specifically Dr. Brady.

Brady is really knows how to look at the body as a whole, not just where I was feeling the pain. He really helped with my knee pain, but also showed me some great exercises to help strengthen my core to help with more stability-from my lower back to my feet.
